Enviado Vida makes his long-awaited return to Silk Music with "2 Years Later," a quintessentially evocative and texturally plush EP from the veteran phenom. While the title cut delivers simple melodies and captivating atmospheres, "Homeparty" brings everything full circle with a mesmerizing current of soft harmonies and acoustic instrumentation.

The arrangement of "2 Years Later" is left purposely thin and minimal, which has the effect of affording every nuance of the sensual atmosphere enough space to breathe. After establishing an especially soothing ambience, Enviado Vida introduces a series of poignant chord plucks, as well as a variety of elegant, organic percussive elements, which are delicately woven through the soundscape. In the main breakdown, expansive atmospheres evoke a distant epoch; ultimately, they summon the familiar main pluck synths for one final climactic chapter of this wistful tale.

The suspenseful "Homeparty" blends acoustic and synthetic elements to intoxicating effect. Enviado Vida's moody bass groove is later joined by his signature acoustic drums and cinematic pads, all of which coalesce to craft a foreboding soundscape. The melodic layers continue to slowly crescendo and, by the final movement of the arrangement, completely envelop the listener in a cocoon of tantalizing sounds.
